• Sioo: a knowledge community, intellectual space and professional home - For 50 years Sioo was founded in 1958 by the Dutch universities to form a bridge between academic organization studies and organizational practice and change processes. Since then, Sioo has developed into an ‘intellectual space and professional home’ for professionals who want to contribute to successful change processes and innovations in organizations, and want to develop in the fields of organization studies and change management. Sioo does not represent only one dominant school in this field, but believes that a diversity of viewpoints can coexist – and indeed should do so continuously. At Sioo, people with a wide range of talents from a diversity of backgrounds meet. Although their roles, positions, experience and involvement in change and innovation processes may differ considerably, they all share a strong ambition to contribute to business development and innovation, and all are dedicated to developing further their own professional competencies.

Philips Design is one of the largest and longest-established design organizations of its kind in the world. A part of Royal Philips Electronics, it is headquartered in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with branch studios in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific region.
Its creative force of some 450 professionals contains more than 30 different nationalities, embracing disciplines as diverse as psychology, cultural sociology, anthropology and trends research, in addition to the more ‘conventional’ design-related skills. The mission of these professionals is to create a harmonious relationship between people, objects and the natural/man-made environment.
